The most common material used in the battery field is Mn02 (Manganese dioxide). Manganese dioxide–primary zinc batteries were launched in the 60s to replace the zinc-carbon primary batteries for a good performance. But the use was limited as it doesn’t serve the purpose. In other words, Mn02 is used in dry cells, which are responsible for cell capacity. Four types of Manganese dioxide are used in dry cells. However, performance is based on the crystal structure.
